Sucks my ipad is currently stuck in restore because it was stuck in continuous respring after updating some apps in cydia then I tried rebooting it (bad move) and ended up in a continuous reboot so I put it in dfu mode and hooked it up with itunes and then got error 1611

There is a file called watchdogbundle on your iPod/iPhone. Everytime you start up your iPod/iPhone,
springboard has to generate the application map. If you have tons and tons of apps or some very large
apps, then this will take a while. Unfortunately, the watchdogbundle file monitors this mapping, and
when it takes more than two minutes, it automatically shuts off springboard and trys to remap. To
prevent your iPod/iPhone from being stuck at the boot logo, follow these steps:
1. Turn off your iPod/iPhone
2. Connect it to your computer
3. Wait for the noise(dingdong) to register that the computer acknowledges it.
4. SSH into your iPod/iPhone with WinSCP or iphonebrowser
5. Go to /private/var/mobile/ and rename Applications to Application2
6. Your iPod/iPhone should show the springboard in 5-10 seconds
7. Then, rename Applications2 to Applications again
8. Then turn off your iPod/iPhone (you may have to force it)
9. Then turn it back on.
And your done!
The reason for the renaming of the folder is because the springboard generates the application map from
the Applications folder. When you take that folder away, it doesnt have to generate any apps on the map,
so it boots up immediately. After you have done this, some of your apps may start randomly appearing on
your springboard. This is fine. Just do one or two MANUAL syncs with iTunes, and it should install all
of your apps at one time.

I have over 500 apps (weighing in at 35 gbs) on my ipad so thatd take a while but Im already past the stages of doing that. I'll keep that in mind if somethin like this ever happens again. Im going to try restoring from a different computer and see if that makes a difference. I really need it to work because Infinity Blade the greatest game to ever exist just came out for iphone and ipad

sorry, but will there be an update for a landscape mode?
12-11-2010, 09:08 PM #18
The Lockinfo version will be 2 more weeks, the animations need to be reworked to work in both orientations.
When the Lockinfo version is done I will make a Landscape version with the reworked animations.
