Default Ipad cydia missing after jailbreak
    Hi,

I tried to jailbreak a 1st gen ipad(gsm) running on 5.1.1 using absinthe 2.0.4. After I finished jailbreaking I tried to open cydia... it said like'preparing file system' then respringed the ipad. Now i dont see cydia anymore... tried spotlight search, it's not finding it either, and when i try to jailbreak again on absinthe, it keeps saying that my device has already been jailbroken. i also tried to jailbreak with redsnow but still I cant see cydia even though the jailbreak went fine.

Just restore to 5.1.1. That's the highest firmware for the 1st gen iPad so don't worry re: losing jailbreak and then re-jailbreak. Simple

I am not sure if it's been dropped recently since its my friend's iPad, but it has a little bump by the volume button

    No, haven't tried that.

No I don't and magnets on motherboards and electronic parts mess them up. I do know that.

There is no magnet thing that I am aware of, not sure what that guy was on about. Just restore to 5.1.1 then use redsnow 0.9.15b3 to jailbreak.
