    Default Trying to downgrade iPad3 from 6.0 to 5.1.1
    Hey everybody ,
    i was trying for several hours to edit the IPSW file of iOS 5.1.1 but all of these tries failed ...
    I was wondering why Jailbrokers developers couldn't release at least a tethered jailbreak for A5 Chipset ?
    Or just they have an iPhone 3GS/4 , iPod 4th Gen and iPad 1 so they only did the jailbreak for them ... ?
    ============
    anyway ,
    this is the log from TinyUmbrella while trying to downgrade iPad3 GSM from iOS6 to iOS 5.1.1

    You can't come back from 6.0 on an ipad 3
    They need a hardware/boot exploit to allow downgrading for A5 devices, is my understanding. The reason why the older (A4 and older) are able to downgrade is to due a hardware exploit (exploited with limera1n) which Apple cannot fix by software (iOS versions)

    Thanks for your time to respond to my question .

    But still wondered , why till now there isn't any jailbreak for A5+ devices till now while the iOS 6 released before approx. 2 months and the iOS 6 Beta before approx. 5 months ?
    And lately , I heared that pod2g is not going to help in untethered jailbreak iOS 6 coz he wants to focus on his job . He is right , but he also mustn't leave all these people stucking in iOS 6 with at least tethered jailbreak . Couldn't he feel how's the iPad or iPhone or even the iPod with Zephyr , NCSettings , ********** , SwipeSelection , iFile , WinterBoard , KillBackground and all others tweaks in Cydia ?
    One of my friends sold his iPad 2 coz he updated to iOS 6 and the jailbreak didn't release .
    I hope this thread and this post could be reached to all JailBreak developers and hackers so that they can feel about JailedUsers ...

    Thanks for your time to replay to me , but what if i updated my iDevice to iOS 6 ? Nothing ...

    Note that people have regular lives and to dedicate their spare time to creating a jailbreak is not something that I would sacrifice my time with my family for.
    It is not easy to find an exploit, especially a hardware exploit. It is not like Apple creates holes for people to do jailbreaks. Remember that an exploit is not just a way a for a jailbreak to happen but also a way for someone with less than good intentions to potentially create some havoc as well.
    Don't make it sound like people aren't working on it. It's just not an easy thing to do.
    People shouldn't buy the products with the full intent of using a jailbreak. The only thing that is guaranteed with the product is that it functions the way Apple intends it to. Jailbreaks are not a right, they are a very great privilege. You shouldn't expect a jailbreak to happen.
