Jailbroken iPad 1 4.3.3 Want to update to 5.1.1

I have the original iPad and I want to update it to 5.1.1. It is already jailbroken and I would like to know the steps to update it without losing the jailbreak. Thank you very much!

Here are the steps

1. Take a snapshot of where all of your apps are so you know what order they are in

2. Backup everything you have to iCloud.

3. Copy all your pictures to your computer. (iCloud doesn't back up all of Your photos. Photo stream only backs up the last 30 photos/ pictures.)

4. Restore to factory settings and update using iTunes.

5. Restore from iCloud backup.

6. Put pictures back on from computer.

7. Use the latest version of Absinthe and jailbreak it

Not to hijack this thread, but would this procedure be the same if I have a jailbroken ipad2 currently on 4.3.3 and want to jailbreak it on 5.1.1?

I see for iCloud you need at least ios 5, and I'm on 4.3.3, so would using itunes to backup the ipad be just as good as using icloud for step 2 in the post above?

Now that I've gone over the process I have one question on the order of something before proceeding. I'm curious as to when I restore my ipad from the backup I made. Should I restore once it's updated to 5.1.1 but before it's jailbroken, or should I restore it once I update it to 5.1.1 and after it's jailbroken?

You described in your first post to restore, and then jailbreak, but I just want to make sure of the order (maybe it doesn't matter)?

Big thanks again 2K1, did the upgrade and jailbreak this morning without any problems. Well I did get an error 21 when trying to upgrade to 5.1.1 with iTuines. Did a google search and found that I needed to uncheck "request SHSH from Cydia" in TinnyUmbrella. Once I did that it upgraded and restored all my apps.

I also used a program called aptbackup which I ran before I did anything to the ipad. Once it was upgraded to 5.1.1 and jailbroken, I ran aptbackup again and it re-installed all my cydia apps.

Just one more question about the option in TinyUmbrella, should I re-check "request SHSH from Cydia", or just leave it unchecked from now on?

Shouldn't matter ya Shsh should be saved look in Cydia and see if it comes up with 5.1.1

Yup, SHSH blobs for 5.1.1 are saved as shown in Cydia
