Default uiopen does not work on iPad 2 / 5.0.1 or iPhone 4s from ssh session
    Hi,

We have been using the following command via ssh on our jailbroke iPad 1 and iPad 2 4.3.3 to launch Mobile Safari to a particular url:
    uiopen "http://google.com"

This command (uiopen) is not working on the jailbroken iPad 2/5.0.1 or the iPhone 4s. When you type in in an ssh session, it runs... it just does not work. Does anybody know a fix or a better way to launch mobile safari to a particular url from ssh?

    Thanks
    Ken

We also tried openURL. If you type openURL without a parameter, it runs properly and shows you:

    Usage: openURL url-string

If you run openURL Google it does not show any error, but it does not launch mobile safari. I checked the processes running with a ps -eaf, and it is not being launched even in the background.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks
    Ken

Thought I would post our solution. We grabbed the .deb file from https://github.com/evilpenguin/OpenURL, put it on the device, did a dpkg -i com.understruction.openurl_0.6.0-1_iphoneos-arm.deb, then springboarded the device. Running openurl "http://www.yahoo.com" now works.
