Thread: iPad downgrade...definite?
09-14-2011, 12:16 PM #1
Hey guys, I have an iPad 2 4.3.3 jailbroken with saved 4.3.3 blobs. It has been running sluggish the past couple weeks and I want to restore and rejailbreak. Is it a guarantee that I will defiantly be able to go back to 4.3.3 and restore? If so can someone give me instruction on how to do so? Do I upgrade to 4.3.5 and then go down or what?
Thanks in advance!
By the way it's a 3G iPad 2

Restore 4.3.3 directly ... because you have 4.3.3 blobs you can restore.
It should be simple simple.
Start Tiny Umbrella, VERY it shows 4.3.3 blobs, then start TSS Server.
Verify TSS server is running with no errors.
Download 4.3.3 iOS, and shift/select 4.3.3 restore w/iTunes.
Edit: Missed the fun step Haha: Jailbreakme to jailbreak
Update: No problems with iPad 2 WiFi

Have people been successful with iPad 2 3G?
I read somewhere at it wasn't possible with the 3G model bc of resigning baseband?!?

I believe there was a update to tiny umbrella that allows downgrading a 3G iPad 2 to 4.3.3 as long as 4.3.5 is still being signed. Not sure how it works and I'd wait until someone who has done it before to tell you how before you risk it.

That's they key. Currently Apple is signing .... when 5.0 is released, who knows yet
