Then you can always go back to 4.3 if for whatever reason the jailbreak only supports 4.3. There is no jailbreak at all for iPad 2 yet though, tethered or untethered.

I screwed up and updated to 4.3.1 without getting my shsh file on my iPad2 I thought I backed them up, so now I'm stuck on 4.3.1, I'm just hoping the jailbreak that's coming out is for the 4.3.1 firmware not the 4.3

are you sure you still can't backup the shsh for 4.3? Wouldnt hurt to try (and report back).

I bought my iPad2 on 4.3 yesterday and it wouldn't save my SHSH for 4.3. It would only save 4.3.1. So no updating for me until the JB comes out. Hopefully soon but I'll wait however long it takes

Color me a noobie, but how does one go about saving their SHSH? It's academic at this point, as i've already updated to 4.3.1 - but still would like to know. thanks! Oh, this is on an ipad2 if that makes a difference.

No you cant use iPhone SHSH. Try using tiny umbrella to save your 4.3.1 SHSH. You may still be able to save them.
