My computer that I was using to boot my iPad with took a dump and now I can not boot tethered. Redsn0w can't see the firmware. I am now using a pc that is running windows 7 instead of vista. Redsn0w runs and initializes just fine - but the ios is not recognized when I go to that folder, is there something that I am doing wrong? Any help would be awesome!

What browser did you use to download the IPSW? Is it a .ipsw fornat or does it have .zip?

It came in a Zip file and I used Internet Explorer.

Anybody have any thoughts?

Ok go to start. Control panel. Folder options and uncheck hide file extensions. Then go to the firmware file that says .zip and rename that to .ipsw. It'll warn you and just click yes and try.
