Reboot tethered jailbreak ipad

Hi i wanna install winterboard on my ipad 4.2.1...but after the installtion cmplete,the device ask for reboot,do we need to touch the screen button for " reboot device"or i should turn off my ipad and then connect to pc for " just boot tethered only"...last time i try,i touch the screen button for reboot after that something happen and i need to restore back to factory setting...if can give me link to video...it more easy to understand...thnks a lot

Just turn it off and then use redsnow to boot tethered. It doesnt really matter though. Even if you get stuck at the apple logo screen you can still enter dfu and run redsnow. The device doesnt "have" to be off to boot tethered.

You mean when it ask for reboot device, i just turn it offh...no need to press that button??

Yup, just turn it off. You dont have to press the button.
