Hi, As we're all anticipating the iOS 4.2 release for iPad, I wonder is there a best practice/tutorial/guide to perform the upgrade on jailbroken iPads ***without*** loosing all the installations

    Hi,
    As we're all anticipating the iOS 4.2 release for iPad, I wonder is there a best practice/tutorial/guide to perform the upgrade on jailbroken iPads ***without*** loosing all the installations made on it?
    Mine is a 64GB Wi-Fi iOS 3.2.2 jailbroken by GreenPois0n.

    If you are talking about all the cydia apps then there are apps that can backup all your stuff so they will reinstall after but it is not recommended to use them when making a big jump in firmware like this as a lot may not be compatible with 4.2. Best thing to do is check on this site or google cydia apps compatibility on 4.2 when it comes out and to install each thing one at a time.

    pkgbackup, aptbackup are two I believe.
