    Default Clarification on jailbreaking procedure
    My GF just picked up a wifi ipad running 3.2.2 Looking to jb it with Greenpois0n. This will be my first jb so I need a bit of clarification.

    One of the steps is:
    Press and hold sleep button for 2 secs
    continue holding sleep button and press home for 10 secs
    release sleep button, continue holding home button for 15secs
    Device should then be in DFU mode, click jailbreak button when notified.

    My question is: after holding home button for 15secs, do you continue to hold sleep button when you click the jailbreak button, or do you release the sleep button before clicking jailbreak button?

    Also, it seems that the greenpois0n app for windows is listed as win 32. My notebook is running win 7 64bit, is that a problem? Thanks for helping out a newb

    You hold the home button and sleep simultaneously....then let go of the sleep button but still hold on the the home and enjoy

    When do you finally release the home button? Before or after clicking the jailbreak button? I'm assuming the jb button appears on the pc app, correct?

    DFU mode instructions;
    Step 1. Turn off iPhone
    Step 2. Hold down the power and home button.
    Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but continue holding the home button down, (about 20 seconds).
    Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you that it detects iPhone in restore/recovery mode.

    Oh, and Welcome to MMi.

    You release the Home button after counting 15 secs and the screen is black.
    It should say on the screen of your machine , you are in DFU mode.
    You click jailbreak after you have released the Home button.
