It's totally possible, just insert the win7 lite DVD into the optical slot, and follow the onscreen instructions

I wish I had a miniature elephant that fit in the palm of my hand. I would pick him up and he'd lift up his trunk and stand on his back legs and say PRRRRRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMMPPPPPPPPPHHHHHHHH and I would say yes little elephant i love you too.

You could just set your background as BSOD and it'd be close.

The jokes are cool, but not everything needs a reason. Some people just want to change things for the fun/shock of it. Lots of people walk around with normal ipads, but your probably only one if you could get xp to run

The CPU in the iPad is not compatible with either XP or windows 7.
someone would need to re-write the internal HAL for it to work.

It's just that the insides aren't meant to run such a heavy OS. Yeah XP is very lightweight but iOS is soooo stripped down to the basics so it uses as little memory as possible. But they're getting close, one day it might be possible for other OS's to be installed. But we all know how much Apple would like the idea of that...

Actually, now that i think about it, VMWare is in the app store, right? If so, one could virtually boot any OS they want. Though one won't actually be installing in the sense of having it in an iOS environment, then turning off and selecting a different OS through the multiboot BL.
