    Default 'Time since last full charge' timer on the ipad
    Not sure if anyone else would find this useful, and apologies in advance if it's been posted already by another (i looked but my google abilities may not be so hot atm).

    Apple didn't include the 'Time since last full charge' timer on the ipad. This bothers me, as I don't think my friends really believe me when I tell them how long the iPad's battery lasts. I was poking around tonight and found three strings in "/var/stash/Applications/Preferences.app/Usage Statistics.plist" to change on a jailbroke ipad so that the battery life timers from the iphone appear in preferences.app.

    (using ifile is easiest imo) change: <string>telephony</string>
    to: <string>gas-gauge-battery</string>
    under the following categories:
    USAGE_HEADER
    USAGE_ELAPSED
    STANDBY_ELAPSED

    from:
    …(output omitted)…
    <dict>
    <key>cell</key>
    <string>PSGroupCell</string>
    <key>label</key>
    <string>USAGE_HEADER</string>
    <key>requiredCapabilities</key>
    <array>
    <string>telephony</string>
    </array>
    </dict>
    <dict>
    <key>get</key>
    <string>usageElapsed:</string>
    <key>label</key>
    <string>USAGE_ELAPSED</string>
    <key>requiredCapabilities</key>
    <array>
    <string>telephony</string>
    </array>
    </dict>
    <dict>
    <key>get</key>
    <string>standbyElapsed:</string>
    <key>label</key>
    <string>STANDBY_ELAPSED</string>
    <key>requiredCapabilities</key>
    <array>
    <string>telephony</string>
    </array>
    </dict>
    …(output omitted)…

    Nice! I've been trying to figure this out.

    Except I just tried this & no luck on 32g Wifi. 3.2.1
    I double checked the strings, respiring, rebooted, rechecked in Ifile but still can't get usage to show up.

    Did work like a charm on iPad 3g 16gb!

    I did exactly as shown, I'm on 3.2.2....and it totally f***ed my iPad up! After I rebooted it was in some weird half ipad half iphone interface...luckily I was eventually able to change the 3 entries back...and the only way i could accomplish this was using fastnotes in sbsettings to copy to then edit the text from the plist in ifile...half my keyboard wouldnt work in ifile. Anyone else experience this?

    Update:
    I changed the entries back and it did not help, still messed up. I did a complete restore and is still messing up! Anyone have any ideas at all?

    Well I followed this write up and it showed up perfectly. And it showed the time, but it is wigging out. The standby time goes up at the same time as usage. So my standby timer keeps going even when I'm using it and the usage one seems to lag behind to.
