Thread: Can't restore to 3.2 from 3.2

Well everytime I try to restore my iPad after messing around in the Springboard.app iTunes tells me I can't because my device is not eligable for that particular build. How come!? I'm already on 3.2, i even tried adding "18.104.22.168 gs.apple.com" to my host file but that made no difference. What can I do? I really don't want to be stuck with 3.2.1. on it as I'm a massive jailbreaking fan.

if you didn't back up your 3.2 SHSH responses before apple released 3.2.1, then you can't restore it unfortunately.

Storing SHSH blobs allows you to restore to an older version of firmware than what is currently being signed by Apple (the "current version"). Apple stopped signing 3.2 when 3.2.1 came out.
I'd try and find another method to fix your issue if possible. If you can "mess" with your springboard app, then you may not be in a position to need to restore. For me, I'd be restoring if I couldn't get to springboard

conchappie, you can't restore to 3.2 without having your SHSH blobs cached.
Since the OP has tried a restore with gs.apple.com redirected to Saurik's server, and doesn't mention that he's previously saved his 3.2 SHSH responses locally, I don't see how you can help him restore to 3.2.
