Hey guys, I'm having this problem. Everytime I jailbreak my iPad it messes my wifi connection. Suddenly iPad stops connecting and wifi bars go crazy, wifi doesn't autenticates... I dunno what to do it only gets normal when I restore it.
What should I do? Is there any better jail breaking method?
Sorry for the bad English, I'm from brazil.
No one? Guess I'll keep it restored till the next fix.

Have you tried to reset the network settings after the jailbreak. As far as I know Spirit is the only one right now that can jailbeak the iPad.

What is your security connection for your network? When mine was WEP I was constantly dropping signal and asking prompts to rein put my password. I changed my network to WAP2 and it has been fine ever since

Are you saying that immediately after you jailbreak, you get the WiFi issues? Or..? Multifl0w doesn't work for iPad, yet.
I'm just trying to understand your issue. So you say that after you jailbreak, you cannot connect to WiFi properly anymore? What type of security for the Wifi? How about try to make it unsecured for a bit and see if maybe your security is messing with it. Also, what do you have installed on your iPad?And it will be like a taco inside a taco within a Taco Bell that's inside a KFC that's within a mall that's inside your dream! Springboard screwy after reboot? Here is the fix

The issue used to happen on my iphoneand now its happened with my ipad.
The wifi will not find any wifi networks and then you reset and it auto connects again then drops out shortly after.
I found multiflow to be my issue but thats only if you have installed it. At the same time i installed and reinstalled sbsettings so i assume it was multiflow.
You can delete it from cydia or rock whereever you installed it

It's like wifi goes crazy sfter jailbreaking.
Some time it says unable to connect, other times it conects but does not work, other times it conect but i lost the signal 3 seconds later.....
It's weird, it happens even if i change my network to open security.

I am having more or the same wifi issues which I attribute to SBSettings.
My issues are that when my iPad goes to sleep, and I turn it back on, the Wifi(even though on) does not automatically re-establish connection to the network. Also, you know how when you turn on your wifi via sbsettings and you are at a network you've used before, it auto reconnects to it? Mine doesn't do that now. I have to go to the settings and manually select the Wifi network to connect to.
I've tried to remove sbsettings and it fixed the problem.. however I really like being able to turn on and off my wifi connection from sbsettings but now with this problem, kinda makes me feel, I might as well just do it manually.
It kinda looks like to me the homebrew scene haven't fully explored the iPad yet at least not to the excellent level on the iPhone yet. Keep up the great work guys!
p/s : Unrelated, but still wanting Yourtube for iPad

I had the same issue the wifi bars disappeared but was still connected to internet and every so often it would tell me to enter wireless password then i uninstalled sbsettings and everything works fine now

Ok, how can i uninstall sb settings?
06-08-2010, 06:20 AM #16
Got to cydia-> manage-> package-> modify-> uninstall
This is the step to uninstall any cydia apps
However I don't think it's sbsetting causing the probiPhone 3G 3.1.3
iPad WIFI 3.2 + Myfi device

There is def a problem with wifi, I have a jailbroken iPad and can't log into a a few wifi hotspots eg hotel airport etc where as a friend who has an un-jailbroken iPad sitting next to me doesn't have any problems!

I won't point the blame at sprint just yet, but I did go through the same problem, wifi would get stuck, won't browse unless disconnected and reconnected. This is after jail breaking. Now I am not having the problem anymore as I changed my security settings on the router, but this can be a pain when trying browse from public wifi zones where we have no ability to control security. I have read that it could be the wifi chip itself as many are sending complains to Apple Inc.
