Thread: Downsides?

    Default Downsides?
I own an iPad with WiFi and 3G. I also own an iPod Touch 3g which is jailbroken. I never had any problems jailbreaking my iPod Touch. It worked fine without any technical difficulties after jailbreaking. I am considering jailbreaking my iPad and would like to know if I can expect the same results with Spirit on my iPad as I had with blackra1n on my iPod Touch.

Are there any problems associated with jailbreaking the iPad? Will it have any technical difficulties afterward? Also, is it worth jailbreaking at this time (not all iPhone jailbreak apps/mods work on the iPad and Apple may release an updated firmware with more default apps)?

I'm sure that I'm not the only person wondering these things. Thanks for any info.

It's just as easy as blackra1n. I say do it. I did mine last night and works great.

But beware that not all Cydia apps will work yet. As with any new hardware or firmware we have to give it time to let the developers update the programs to function properly on the new items.

Yeah, I know that not all Cydia packages will work. Would you recommend that I jailbreak now or wait a while?

Do it now before something comes out to patch the userland jailbreak.

Alright, thanks for your advise. I will probably jailbreak this weekend when I have more time to screw around with the thing.
