Worked fine for me, on my iphone 3gs and my ipad.
Quirks to be aware of: on Windows 7 x64, I had to run Spirit as Administrator, in windows 98 compatibility mode. My iPhone was running firmware 3.1.2, the jailbreak put my phone in restore mode. I had to upgrade the firmware to 3.1.3, which meant I had to reinstall my cydia and app store apps.
The jailbreak of my 3.2 firmware iPad was flawless. Your mileage may vary.

jailbroke my iPad, iPhone on 3.1.3 and my sisters iPod on 3.1.3 all within 30secs a piece. LOVE IT
