Replaced USB/battery port need help real quick

I replaced my USB port today with the help of a video tutorial. I did it 100% but having a problem at the end. I'm trying to power it on and it powers on like normal it's not completely closed due to the fact that I'm waiting on my clips. When It loads up it la like back to factory where it showes up the slide to unlock on different languages but I can't side to unlock I can slide the top to shut off so what can be the problem? Also I plugged it into the charger as it still didn't pick it up could that be cause its not fully closed? Any help would be great
