    Hi

    Sorry to be sarcastic about this... "iPhone" it's what you looking for.
    Donīt know of any other way to do it.

    PS: I might be wrong

    Okay...

    1) First, make sure the iFile app is installed, then navigate to System/Library/CoreServices/SoringBoard.app, look for a .plist file that starts with the letter "K", followed by a number(s).
    2) Open the file in Text Viewer, look for a place to add the key "Telephony" and the real, "true". If easier, just copy one of the current keys, and replace the key text with Telephony.
    3) After completed correctly, respring and download this zip file from your iPad (It will once again open iFile). The MobilePhone.app file goes in "Applications" (Replace current file) and the TelephonyUI.framework & TelephonyUtilities.framework goes in System/Library/PrivateFrameworks. Replace the current files of those too! Respring once more and you should see the FaceTime app is now "Phone".

    I hope this helps! Remember, this works best on SIM-accessible iPads. Fortunately, this works with all generations of iPads, too!

    I will let everyone have complimentary, survey-free access to the Apple Phone UI ZIP file under one condition.

    {1} That everyone who has a GSM iPad (SIM Chip Model) with this app working takes a screenshot of the Voicemail page in action, as mine is a CDMA iPad.

    {2} No one tries to abuse this by shoving their iPad with Telephony abilities in front of the people at the Genius Bar, at the mall.

    {3} For best results, downloaders of this file use it "as is". I am the expert at tweaking native iPhone apps and this should already work on its own. If some features, such as buttons, feel downsized, users may smoothen out the edges if capable of doing so. The emergency call functions work, and the "in call" functions:

    SIM card phone calls and messeges from ipad-img_0348.png

    In-Call Options Screen (Activates when number is dialed)

    SIM card phone calls and messeges from ipad-img_0350.png

    Emergency Keypad Screen (Activates after numerous failed passcode attempts, like on an iPhone)

    {4} Because this is ModMyi, any user is welcome to convert this file into a Cydia™ package for public use on the ModMyi repo.

    See, even the emergency call functions work, and the "in call" functions:

    Attachment 638169

    In-Call Options Screen (Activates when number is dialed)

    Attachment 638170

    Emergency Keypad Screen (Activates after numerous failed passcode attempts, like on an iPhone)

    Hello, here is a sample of my iPad 2 plist, titled K95AP.plist:

    <key>shoebox</key>
    <true/>
    <key>software-dimming-alpha</key>
    <real>0.41999999999999998</real>
    <key>stand-alone-contacts</key>
    <true/>
    <key>still-camera</key>
    <true/>
    <key>telephony</key>
    <true/>

    Add what's in red. And yes, that shoebox key is my attempt to get Passbook on my iPad. I'm still trying.

    In addition, you may need to re-download the zip. On my first version of the zip, the MobilePhone.app was corrupted. Also, if you have a pass code set, try getting to the emergency call screen. This is a good way to see if it will work properly. To access the screen, just start entering random passcodes, just not too many times!

    Okay, then it may be the corrupted app file. If you downloaded the zip file yesterday within the first hour of it being released, then the zip file link above may need to be reinstalled (Suggest downloading from your iPad). This new zip should work on any iPad (above 1st generation) that runs iOS 6.1.2, with cellular capabilities (AT&T iPads work best). And if that "keypad" you see looks stretched, then that means it is failing to pass the Default image, which is a screenshot-type picture that is displayed when you start any app, with the exception of Passbook.

    Also, have you tried the Emergency Call Functions?

    Yep, that happened to me, too. Re-download the .zip file and re-replace the current app and frameworks...

    FaceTime crashing is a good thing? Well, let me see. Did you replace the files in the Private Framework section? Also, that file in the SpringBoard.app is K95AP.plist. You will see a phone setting in the Settings app with your number on it, that is, if it works.
    I will double-check to see if that zip is or is not corrupted.

    Yeah, but it will not give you the UI you've come to know on iOS 6 iPhones.

    Hi,

    I have followed your instructions and I get the same error.

    I didn't have a .plist file beginning with K so I added the lines to J2aAP.plist and later created a file K95AP.plist with the new lines.

    When I ring in to my ipad number I get the incoming call notification bit when I accept it I just get a green header but no sound.

    When I select phone from within settings I get the error "there was an error loading the preference bundle for phone".

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Wow, it actually goes through? Can you upload a screenshot of it for us?
    Visit this link on your iPad: SIM card phone calls and messeges from ipad
    Also, if you upload screenshots of the things that aren't working, I may have a solution.

    Another thing, is the phone app working for you? By the fact you know the iPad number already it seems that you can access the contacts tab, since only that tab and the Phone bundle in the Settings show the number.

    UPDATE!

    IF YOU DO NOT SEE THE K***.PLIST FILE, THEN SEARCH "plist" IN iFILE AND LOOK FOR A PLIST WITH NUMBERS AND LETTERS!

    I REALIZED THAT DIFFERENT iPAD MODELS COME WITH DIFFERENT LETTERED PLISTs.
