Delete 2x files in apps

Hello everyone,

i want to clean my space from my iPad 1. I want to delete every unused files into my apps. So i thought, i complety can remove any files, that contains the "@2x" extension for these apps that nativly runs on my iPad 'cause upscaling isn't needed, right?
Can i remove any files with "@2x" for universal apps too? I mean, why i need these files when it runs on my iPad nativly too?
So i can remove any files and only keep these apps, that are only for iPhone and i run with the 2X Button on my iPad (Tiny Wings for example)?

Any mistakes in my thoughts?
