Default My Custom Calc HD 'Adds' Something Awesome to the iPad

For those of you still looking for a sweet - and might I add free - calculator app on your iPad, the folks at Happenstance LLC have released a new app that you're probably going to enjoy.

My Custom Calc HD is the latest creation from the developers who pioneered the My Custom Calc app for the iPhone earlier this year (check out MMi's review by clicking here). Packing hi-res HD graphics for the iPad, if this app truly accomplishes anything, it makes your calculator stand out like Snooki in an Amish community.

"We think it's strange that the iPad doesn't come with a native calculator like the iPhone and know there are others out in the App Store already," says Christopher Lee of Happenstance. 'But again we think it comes down to beautiful UI, ease of use, and the ability to truly make a boring calculator really feel like it's 'yours.'"

If you haven't yet checked it out, the app certainly delivers that which it promises: a very easy to use interface, the most essential of math functions, and the ability to customize virtually every nook and cranny of the iPad calculator. All told, it's a pretty neat app with corresponding functionalities that the developer community - not Apple - brings to us at the right price.

"Our goal was to focus on all the buttons you always use and make them bigger," the company says, "while giving the app a clean, stylish, minimalist feel... We've also included several snazzy pre-made skins if you're looking for a particular look and feel."

Other skins are available for purchase, too.

So even if you're not excited by calculator apps relative to other findings in the iPad App Store, you may end up pleasantly surprised by My Custom Calc HD's appeal and soon find yourself looking forward to actually using it.

Mentioning that it is Ad supported so not truly free would have been nice. Especially since the company's own description leaves that out and doesn't show any pictures with Ads.

It would be nice if Apple took use of the screen size and put in a full size graphing calc into the ipad.

Wrong definition. In this case it's not an adjective. It's an adverb. Pretty meaning quite. It's quite ugly.

Isn't there a jailbreak tweak that gives the iPad a calculator?

Well that looks really cool Michael Essany. Have you created this for your own, this is really nice app for iPad. Are there more apps for iPad created by you? If you focusing on iPad apps then let me know I will at least try them once. Thanks.
