*** To start with, HIP, HIP, HOORAY for the Library of Congress ***
...and it's decision to add an Ipad exception (or more specifically),
"Computer programs that enable wireless telephone handsets to execute software applications, where circumvention is accomplished for the sole purpose of enabling interoperability of such applications, when they have been lawfully obtained, with computer programs on the telephone handset."
Maybe now we can have some development by companies without fear (or at least not so much) that Steve Jobs will shut them down. I think this opens the door for companies to release apps for the official Itunes path while simultaneously releasing on Cydia/Rock or other means that SJ won't approve.
Maybe we'll see a better Email App??? or maybe.....
....a Power Management App. It annoys me that I have one setting for the Auto-Screen lock. Why not, if plugged in, NEVER. If running on batteries then:
- 2 Minutes
- 5 Minutes
- 10 Minutes
- 15 Minutes
Are you telling me that Microsoft owns a patent for that decision tree?
So anyone know of a Power Management App like we all have on any Windows Laptop? If one doesn't EXIST....I would pay (or will) pay $30 for the functionality!!! Hint, Hint!!! There has to be a way to trigger this in the code!!!
What does everyone else think? Would you pay for the functionality?
