Thread: Smart Cover flaw

  1. #1
    Default Smart Cover flaw
I bought an ipad 2 and reluctantly didn't buy a smart cover. I feel like the concept was a good idea, but when it comes down to actually protecting the ipad it falls short. Either apple needs to make a "case" to enclose the whole ipad so its absolutely protected, or a third party needs to make a case which uses magnets like the smart cover. Apples case for the original ipad not only protected the whole ipad it looked nice, and it could be folded up in a stand like the smart cover. Hopefully apple realizes the mistake or someone else comes along with a good solution.

I didnt like the texture of the leather one and plus the color. I guess I will make a trip to the apple store tomorrow to get one. I knew I should listen to the apple rep if i need to get a smart cover for it. I said no.. hurry up and charge my card!!

I had been searching for a silicone case for ipad 2 to protect the back. The only choice now is the ipad smart cover.
I didnt want to scratch up my ipad yet. My friend already scratched up her white one already! She just gave me a idea to get a case in case it becomes bad like hers.

I agree. I need to find a nice portfolio to put it in.

There is not too many of them out there. Besides ipad smart cover, theres the chunky case from Kensington and Porporto. They are expensive and chunky. I hated it.

I like the carbon fiber backing for scratch protection

I want a silicone case or a hard case to cover the back. I protect my first gen ipad really well with zagg shield protector and a pink clear hard case. I hope i can do the same for the ipad 2. I never liked the apple ipad case that was created

How difficult does that look like it will be to completely remove down the road, Stealth?
