Installer app? Only old firmware? But I have 1.1.4, Help!

Hi, I'm pretty new but have been looking all over to answer this myself, but I'm still confused...

I'm trying to get the Installer app on my 1.1.4 iphone and the version I'm finding available to download (v3.1) but on the site it says that it's for Older firmware (1.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.2).

What do I download to use with 1.1.4 so I can use third party apps??
So confused, please help!

The thing at iphone.nullriver.com isn't Installer.app - it's "AppTapp's Installer" which is actually a program that runs on your computer to modify your phone. That's not what you want, because the site is right - that program is for earlier firmwares. You need Installer.app itself to put on your phone. My suggestion? Find a way to access your phone's filesystem via the hard-wired USB cable first...I don't use a Mac, but I'm sure somebody here can help you out in that regard. Next, get the installer.app payload....I'm sure somebody can help you with that too.
