Sources Added to Cydia Source List

If you add a source to the Source list in Cydia in order to get their app and later the app is available in Cydia do you need to keep the source in the list or can you remove it?

You can remove it if you wish its not really hurting anything tho by being there

Thanks, I am just trying to clean up and simplify after I had soooo many problems with Duplicate sources.list entries. If it won't effect the installed app and the app is now listed in Cydia, I thought it would simplify things to remove the added source.
