I hear people discussing SSH applications. Can someone tell me more about it and how to replace an application using SSH?

SSH basically allows you to access the root files on the iPhone. This is useful if you want to manually remove a harmful application or theme without using Winterboard. I'm not really sure on what you mean by replacing an application. Can you specify?

Trying to replace an application with a modded version of that application. I don't have wifi on my computer. Is using SSH for this purpose still possible?

It doesn't require wifi and still accesses the files on the iPhone/iPod Touch.
