Reinstalled Installer... now can't install, haha

I set up my 1.1.3 iphone using the Ziphone program. It worked well, but I could not download the term-vt100. Not realizing that I hadn't installed Community Sources, I instead used iLiberty to install it... and at the same time I reinstalled the installer.

All my old programs work just fine, but I cannot install new programs. The reinstalled installer does not show that I have installed my old programs... and when I install new programs, it "works." But, then the program doesn't show up (tested installing a new dictionary, which didn't appear).

Also, I had moved the /Applications folder to /private/var/Applications right before I did the iLiberty thing. I have the hard link in correctly, but I thought maybe this has something to do with Installer not seeing my old applications...

Anyone know a solution to this? I may just redo everything from scratch.

Sounds like you have a mess of files.

I would start from scratch, make everything clean again.
