Can anyone help with a decoding issue?

Ok so last night i jailbroke my ipod 2g with quickfreedom.
Whenever i try to download anything from an installer source all i get is a message saying "unable to decode package".

Also can anyone point me in the right direction on where to get pocket guitar or a good source for cool apps?

Thanks
