You wouldn't want to. The auto-refresh updates the Installer .plists and also updates the display order to properly show your newly installed App in the Springboard.

Just disable WiFi, open installer (fails to refresh), switch WiFi on. It won't refresh again till like 6 hours or so.

Unless it hops on edge and takes 30 minutes to refresh that way lol.

Maybe thats why he wants to disable it, so when he is not on wifi he doesnt have to wait for edge.

put in airplane mode let it think its refreshing it will say there's an error then click disable on the popup and enjoy installer
