error installing / updating

i cant update nor install anything. I get a script error. Is this some kind of jailbreak issue?

oh I am using installer.app and when I check the settings it days it is zero bytes.

I have the same problem when it tries to run the installer script but i got around this by jailbreaking my phone and leaving it that way. now it works. itunes doesnt until i re-jailbreak it though so it is only a temporary fix. PS: i am using itunes 7.4.2
