Great guide! I prefer to see something like this rather than "just run it" when I am going to install something. I like to know what is going to happen! Thanks!

Hangs in recovery mode ......

I followed the instructions but my iphone hangs in recovery mode while the AppTapp just hangs during the install.....I have read where anything over 5 minutes is too long to wait. I waited for 15 minutes and nothing happened.

Installer should be installed onto your HomeScreen. It is the new icon with the arrow pointing downwards.

iTunes 7.4.2 busted AppTapp's installer. Give it a day or so and they will release a new version.

When I try to install apptap its gets to this line in the 'show details' and just hangs, and leaves my phone in recovery mode. Any ideas?

Execute: iphonecomm.exe -d 009-7698-4.dmg -c kernelcache.release.s5l8900xrb

so let me get this straight. Do you have to use ibrikr before this or can you just apptapp installer.app and be able to use 3rd party mods?

If I am not wrong, you dont have to use ibrikr. You can directly install Apptapp on your phone and start installing 3rd party apps.

strange

i did not activate it through at&t
i used iNdependance 1.2.1
i have the apptapp on my phone, the symbol is in the main menu.
i have itunes 7.4.2
i have downgraded 1.1.1 to 1.0.2
i have installed community sources like it said in the guide.
now i have to install BSD subsystem 1.5 and ssh

but i get the error: Error during install script execution!

i get this while trying to install many other apps. i have installed the osx wall paper pack, and that showed up with the oter wallpapers. but i have also installed other things like a new look "metallic" but it doesnt showup on the main menu?

are these problems due to the 1.1.1 that is actually still on it?
anybody can help me out
