Installer App Crashes

Earlier last week the Installer App started crashing on me whenever i opened it. No options just opened and closed. At the time the 1st Gen iphone was on 2.1.1 Jailbreak (Pawnage Tool) and the Jailbreak came out for the 2.2 so I thought that if i upgraded it to the new 2.2 Jailbreak (Quick Pawn) I wouldnt have that problem anymore. Well I was wrong and I still cant get in to it. Normally I wouldnt trip but I've been using Kate for a while and she's good to me and now shes gone

Any ideas?

Installer seems to be very unstable, a lot of people seem to have problems with it and the apps. Any problems with cydia apps.

Ironically I'm not having any problems at all with Cydia.

Same issue here.

I'm having the same problem. Any suggestions to fix?

I see a lot of references to removing RemotePackages.plist but it doesn't seem to exist on 2.1 firmware.

The fix is not to use Installer. There's crap all on it worth having anyway

Ok, how can I remove it? What about the apps I've installed with it? Do they go away as well? is there a file where I can remind myself what I have installed with installer?

Thanks!

Restore your phone and start from scratch. What do you have from Installer anyway?

I gave up on installer a long time ago. I have found Cydia to be more stable and way better than installer once was; though at first I thought Cydia was confusing. However, within a couple of days of playing with it I go the hang of it. Bye Bye Installer!!!
