2 Different Installers?

alright don't get pissed at me, i'm new at this..

My friend has an iphone and the application's icon is different from mine (mine has an arrow on and his doesn't) and his looks more advanced than mine.. am i missing something here? i'm sorry i know this is very newbish of me but i just need your help here..

and one more thing, where can i browse for sources? all the sources i seem to find are ones of countries.. for example; how can i find conceited software or site packaging?

Well, for one reason or another he has a different icon image. Either a different version or its been changed manually, or he has applied a theme....could be a few different things.

Personally, I would drop using Installer anyways...its kinda goin dead. I would use "Cydia" which you hopefully have. If not, re-jailbreaking is the only way of getting it. Its like installer.....just the "new" thing to use.

ya i already have cydia, i kinda use both, my friend is still running the 1.1.4 firmware..

anyway, u got any idea on how i can browse for new sources?

Sources on Installer are pretty much dead. It's only useful if you want to install 20 000 languages. Stick with Cydia

lol alright then how can i browse for sources on cydia? should i just browse through the repositories section?
