RiP Dev has released a Installer 4.0 Beta 5 with many bug fixes and visual enhancements. You download the latest beta by refreshing the RiP Dev source in Installer 4.0 and then installing the update

but my installer is soo buddy, multiple entries for everything, basically useless. and it doesnt recognize the update (even though i have 2 entries for rip dev)

no just refresh your installer, the new version is in update including community services

nevermind, i just rebooted my phone and tried again and it was there....my bad

updated but i still see no differance from this one to the other one...its not like any new apps were added to the updated community sources

there is no update, rebooted refreshed sources, nothing.

EDIT, found it, really dont like the new layout of installer, it should popup liky cydia does whenever there are updates to installed programs.

oh gosh..... whenever i start installer it starts fetching package updates and in some time it suddenly frezees!!!!! now i cant install even updates or something for installer cause it frezzes in aroun 5 seconds after starting it!!! (time varies)

so is this ever going to be available to install from cydia? if not where can i download it so i can ssh it over like the previous beta? Or should I install the first 4.0 beta then upgrade it from there?

How do i upgrade? went to updated packages and I have 15512 updated packages?

i suppose you have to install the first one, i recommend you not updating to the latest cause for example i did, but i cant install or uninstall so i dont know what to do and i dont want to restore my iphone again...

PLease help how to get installer 4.0b5 version.
I refreshed my source agaian and agian, rebooted the phone, but still no luck.

Also is there any "search" option available in the installer (as in the old version for 2G version).

Do not upgrade yet, trust me. It's way buggy and it just freezes as soon as you open for most people. Im stuck with it now and cant do nothing. Also, I have no solution....PLEASE HELP

well at least isnt it just me.... DO NOT UPDATE at least yet....i registered to this forum only to tell that... mine freezes and aint got an answer of what to do to get it back to 4.0b4

EDIT: I have an IPhone 3g 2.0.1 jailbroken using pwnage tool... perhaps we have different devices but mine gets stuck
