I never get farther than here. I did the first time installing it, everything was fine, but then I thought my phone was stuck in the 'connect to itunes' b/c I was trying to go back to jail and it wasn't connecting to iactivator. wound up restoring the phone. trying to install it again, and was never able to get past this step. It gets to the itunes screen, but nothing more will show up in terminal, no matter how long I wait. I've checked talk manager for anythign itunes. I've done a jailbreak with iactivator. Reinstalled everything. restarted the computer. I'm on a ppc powerbook btw. I don't know why this happened and haven't a clue as to what to do. thanks in advance for any thoughts/tips/help

their script probably does not work with ppc. you have to install manually

still having issues. Even with the new apptap easy installerapp installer. I get my phone to recovery mode.. and then the continue button on step 2 turns grey, and after waiting and waiting.. I'm still seeing this:

When I run the terminal manual install. it gets stuck at this phase in the process too, when it tells me to go into recovery mode, it just never gets past this step! I've restored my iphone and done everything I can think of trying... Is it possible somehow the system files on my iphone have been altered somehow? Is there anything anyone can think of to try? I'm getting very desperate -_-
so I restored again, and realized I'd have to install the update. So I updated it to 1.0.2, and then tried the apptapp installer selecting the 1.0.2 firmware. and now it seems to be working! finally! I'll update after everythings installed to see how it goes from there.Last edited by jujubeanser; 08-23-2007 at 03:55 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

I've been having the same problems
the one question i have is what state does the phone
need to be in when running the apptapp,
-does it need to be jailbroken ?
-does iPHUC need to be installed?
-does shh need to be installed ?
the last time i tried i had iPHUC installed and shh with no problems
then i tried the apptapp while jailbroken and i keep getting hung up.
thanks in advance

no you dont' need to be jailbroken. if it doesn't work while not jailbroken, maybe something NO PROFANITY up while you tried it already jailbroken. I'd suggest doing a full restore then doing apptapp installation, no jailbreak
