Installer: Refreshing Sources..

Hi,

I've installed the "All Sources" app and now when I start Installer and try to refresh sources, it hangs at about 20%.

What source is making this porcess hang? How do I get to the sources section without having it refresh?

Thanks, th3gh05t

Had you checked around you'd notice the latest installer package is defunct and bugged. You need to obtain a copy of the old installer for now.

Yeah the refreshing for me is kind of weird too. I dont have every source installed, but I have many. Sometimes, I can refresh my sources in about 10 seconds on wifi, a bit longer on EDGE, then other times, it takes about 2-4 minutes on Wifi, and almost impossible on EDGE.

The official fix for 3.0 is as follows:

Quote:
If Installer doesn't work after upgrading, type these two commands into your favorite SSH client, or Terminal. then reboot.

chmod +s /Applications/Installer.app/Installer
chown -R root:wheel /Applications/Installer.app
I've chosen to stick with a lower version of installer for a few days and let them fix it on their end.
