I used soft upgrade to 1.1.3 and things were going well. I installed a few working apps with no problems. Then it said installer has a new update 3.? I updated. Now installer crashes everytime its open. Whats with that and how to fix? Please thanks.

I had the same problem today. After a lot of messing around, I re-installed Installer, and it is working fine again.

Try the following

cd /Applications
wget http://repository.apptapp.com/packag.../Installer.zip
rm -rf Installer.app
unzip Installer.zip
chmod +s Installer.app/Installer
chown -R root:wheel Installer.app
rm Installer.zip

Give that a shot and let me know if it works.

Doesn't this require you have already had a working SSH program installed on your phone? I had not yet found one that worked in 1.1.3.

Worked fine for me may also need to check permissions just to make sure

If you upgraded to 1.1.3, the chances are OpenSSH is already installed. The icon, however does not show up on the home screen.

Try SSH'ing to your iPhones IP. The default password is "alpine"

I have the same problem, Im running 1.1.1 and for some reason cant ssh into my iphone from my mac with terminal to try the method above. But Im thinking that someone with a working installer app could duplicate it and upload it for us to reinstall and replace with the non working one on our phones.

Hi, yeah i read that post, however im not up to speed using SSH. I can access the files etc by putting in my IP addy, name and password. It then brings up all the var/root etc.. So where do i type in the commands that you have kindly shown me...Thanks in advance

I have deleted installer through winscp and reinstalled 3.08 installer. No luck still crashing. I also tried to goto 1.1.1 but that is in RAR file. Anyone have a working copy of installer that I can load through Winscp? Or am I doing this wrong. I see the advise of typeing in those comands but I forgot how to do that. Please help.
