Cannot get any apps/games downloaded from installer to work

Yesterday I jailbroke my iPhone 3G using WinPwn 2.0.0.4 and installed both Cydia and Installer, however while apps from Cydia appear to work fine nothing I download from installer has worked so far.

Ive been adding sources from this site and downloading numerous different apps and games but when they appear on the desktop and I click them I get an error saying "The application *name* cannot be opened"

Anyone know whats going wrong?

installer 4 is still in beta stages, ripdev (developer) should be releasing an update when its ready to go. thats why nothing works. patience is a virtue

Its basically a vid of some guy showing you how to add a source to download free games. He inputs it, downloads a bowling game then loads it up and it works. Ive followed the steps exactly but I get an error when I try to load it.

I guess ill just have to wait until its fixed.

I downloaded and did everything as followed since I just upgraded to 2.0.1 and got the same result.
I am REALLY starting to think it is some kind of hack since you get the same message as I did and I installed something else. It also took a while to download over WiFi.

WARNING: Do NOT install/Add this source until someone can confirm if it is legit or not since now I can't remove the icon from my screen and supposedly uninstalled it via Installer.

EDIT: NVM, the icon was gone after a respring. Either way it's kinda weird how you get the same message from these apps.

yea i guess its because installer is still in its beta stages and the sources arent fully up and running yet is the reason why it works for some and not others. i have read on some other posts that if you uninstall the source and re-add it that sometimes that helps. i tried that one in the youtube video and it seems to be working fine but others have reported the same problems from above ^^^

Oh... I found this source yesterday on another youtube vid. You know, those are cracks... illegal... yeah.
anyway, I downloaded some of them just to see if they worked, and when I first started up some, my ipod started going REALLY slow and was giving that error, then I restarted my ipod and they all worked great.

oh, and just for the record, that bowling game sucks. it's unintuitive, too easy, and it usually restarts after you roll the ball twice.

Which ones work? I would like to know. Thanks.

Btw, I didn't try to download all the apps since it took 5-10 mins. to download just one of them (the racing one; GT somethin'..).

Any update on this yet? Do we know why it appears to work for some people (line the guy in the video) but not for others? Surely were all using the same version of installer.

Now that I think about it, can 300 Bowl really be 695 KB ?? I really don't think so.

EDIT: Nvm, I guess it might be possible. But either way I think it's weird how in the video he says "he doesn't understand" or something like that. Is it that hard to tap the 'New Game' button? Hmm...

I've fixed the problem and the apps now work. This may not work for everyone but what I did was uninstall all installer apps, then downloaded a random free app from the apps store, opened and then closed it, restarted my iPhone and finally re-downloaded an app from installer. They then worked fine
