Unable to add sources... Pls help !!
Friends,
When i run installer on my iphone there is no "Edit" button on the Sources tab, so i'm unable to add sources to my installer
I want to add Community Sources and Ste Packaging sources.
I bought a iphone 1.1.2 version and unlocked it by downgrading it to 1.0.2 version. Currently Install list is showing only Installer 3.0b8 by NullRiver. Currently Installer 2.63 is there.
Is there a way to add sources by directly browsing through Safari ?
Please help !!

Update
Your phone should be ok with the updates. Your phone will remain "jailbroken" even after the update. Only update that you would have to worry about are iTunes Updates. Hope this helps.

Thanks it worked but i'm in another fix now ...
After installing few applications from Community sources on un-locked iphone.
The home screen has freezed and newly installed applications icons are not viewable. Also the installer has slide down and is not viewable. Viewable buttons are working but the screen is not sliding down to display all the icons.

Ha you should prob install SummerBoard.
SSH into your iPhone, and type
That will open up Installer on your iPhone's screen. Then you can simply install SummerBoard, restart your iPhone, and be all set./Applications/Installer.app/Installer

Ya, install ssh into your phone from Installer. Then use a FTP client like Transmit, Fetch, cyberduck (if you are on a Mac).
However, I would recommend you upgrading back to 1.1.1 or 1.1.2. The sideways scrolling SpringBoard in 1.1.1/1.1.2 is a much better system then the up and down scrolling of 1.0.2 (with SummerBoard) as your icons are on different pages as opposed to one long page. Makes it easier to locate if you have lots of apps. Besides, you have a more stable OS and better battery management in 1.1.1/1.1.2 (not to mention other functionality improvements).

I had this same issue. Had to do 1.1.2 to get the newer summerboard. This let me edit sources.
