Help Installer keeps going to springboard

I don't know what happened but I have a 1.1.3 iPod Touch and everytime I try to update or get an app from installer it finishes downlading package. However when it gets to the part where it actually says its updating or installing the app it just blacks out and goes to the springboard again.

I'm not sure what is going on because it used to work fine. Also, for some reason vWallpaper wont start as well I click it and then the screen goes black and goes back to the spring board.
