Is there a way to increase the amount of space available for the installation of applications? I have plenty of unused space in my iPod, and it would be a shame to only be able to use a few applications. Thank you for any suggestions and or help.

I found a guide here: iPod Touch » Increase the application space limit

But I get this message when I try the initial command: "# mv /Applications /private/var/Applications
    mv: /bin/: Permission denied
    mv: /bin/: terminated with 1 (non-zero) status: Cross-device link"

What can I try to get around this? I tried running the command with "su" before it, but that did not work..
