installer.app crashes

I try to install something and everything goes fine, the file downloads but when I starts to install, installer crashes. Anyone got any suggestions?

the error message you got from installer was most likely "mainscript exection failed"

typically this means your media partition is full. uninstall a few apps and then try installing again to verify that it is a space problem.

If it turns out that it is in fact a space problem then you need to symlink you applications directory to your media partition.

for windows instructions, the process is the same on os x, just different programs used (i.e. terminal instead of winscp) please refer to this post
