So Guys!

MISSION COMPLETE! as all of you helped me, i could solve this problem. Just to close this ticket im gonna write down, how i could make it. It was really simple.

1. downloaded ibricker
2. installed on my pc
3. run while phone was on, and connected to the pc
4. and choose programs/installer (the older version)
5. after install restart the phone (otherwise, if you dont restart the phone you cant upgrade the installer to the 3.0 version)
6. and that was all, everything is working

PIOJI511 was COMPLETELY RIGHT ! after 15 times trying www.jailbreakme.com, no success (and 25 iphones later...) I just plugged iPhone (s) in iTunes - cancel activation and run jailbreakme.com/installer WORKS FINE !!

Now I still have problems with 1.1.2 "out of the box" Swiss Sim card does'nt work...

It's working now, however, it was not working last night. Spent the whole night with a brick for a phone. Have Install.app installed now, however, anySim 1.1 didn't unlock the SIM. Need to figure that out at least I know it's not totally broken.

Hi People

I have the same problem all works fine except my installer app just hangs .. I am also on v1.1.1 and and when i go to www.jailbreakme.com to try install it again it wont work due to the .ttif exploit thing.

I then tried ibrick v9.0 which did not work for me and caused my normal app maps/weather etc to run slower. (WINDOWS USER)

I have also restored and re installed installer.app from a fresh 1.1.1 version and still no joy again all else works fine but installer wont connect.

I have read lots of other fourms and think it might be that the "permissions" need to be set to 755 but i am not able to install a SSH client (have tried them all) manually to use an app like WINSCP to alter the permissions.

any other info would be helpful thanks

ps. i dont really wanna do another restore if poss

Thats weird everyone is having a problem with jailbreakme.com. I have used it at least 10 times and never had a problem. My most recent times where late last night and this morning.

had to restore my phone this morning and tried jailbreakme.com to jailbreak it... wont work for me either and its bugging the poopoo out of me... like someone else mentioned it just redirects me to jailbreakme.com/files/y.tiff and safari crashes on me... i have no idea whats going on... i have jailbroken my phone a few times without any of this happening and jailbroken my wifes phone... i really dont know what to do now!!!

Another problem might be the 1.1.1 restore file you are using. I thought I read that apple fixed the tiff exploit and changed the 1.1.1 download people can get.

So goto the download section here and get the 1.1.1 and try that.

thats the one i have... i have the 1.1.1 from mmi download section... i restored it a few days ago with the same firmware and everything went through... but now it just safari crashes on me like i said when i click on installapp

that is what is supposed to happen.

Then you just have to wait a few minutes for it to download and install the installer.

Sometimes it takes a few tries, but I had better success when I plugged it into iTunes and canceled the setup, then tried the jailbreak method.

I had to try it for over an hour one time when restoring my phone.

ok i managed to get installer running one thing i did notice is that when ever i tried getting installer to run after couple restores of the iphone v1.1.1 it would lock up and hang i ve noticed it does this when i try and install the following In SOURCES CATEGORY

Name: Community Sources
Version: 3.0
Size 165 bytes

Prior to this i installed the BSD Subsystem V1.5

I believe the Community Sources is the one that opens up all the extra apps as at the mo i dont have any of the new ones that are out. Can anyone pont me in direction to find alternative way to get more apps

If anybody knows another source/ package that i need please let me know.
