crashing installer on 1.0.2

hi all, i just updated my installer now it is not downloading anything,it just crashes out when i try to download anything or visit the more info page,otherwise working normally.

i am on 1.0.2..

any help would be appreciated.

Just restore to 1.1.4 firmware...

Updates and new apps are all written for 1.1.4 compatibility so yes you need to update.

I too am on 1.0.2 and my installer also was acting funny.

and my installer went back to normal.

Ofcourse some of the new apps that were recently released will just really not install into a 1.0.2 iphone as they're not compatible but I still prefer 1.0.2's usabilty and the new apps that came out haven't sold me yet to upgrade.

And yeah about upgrading i hv done a lil bit search thru this forum n still havent been able what method to use,so wat is the safest one?..i am not aware of methos used for unlocking and jailbreaking?

The safest way to upgrade is always to plug into iTunes and hit RESTORE. It will wipe out your phone and put a clean version of the latest firmware on it. You can then use ziphone, iLiberty, iDemocrazy or Pwnage to rejailbreak and unlock your phone. Plug back into iTunes.. set the phone up as NEW (important) then resync all your data.
