Hey all,
I had a couple of apps queued in Installer (a game and another app that fixes the "low disk space" message). After I got an error from Installer while installing these apps, the Installer icon disappeared off the phone. Its not on any of my 3 home pages, and it doesn't show up on Hidepod either. I don't have Dock so unfortunately I can't access it, but even with Dock, I'd still like to know how to get this icon back.
Just to throw this out, too. Its been a while that my Photo and Camera icons have disappeared, too. I can't recall if anything else is gone or not.
What do you guys suggest I do? I googled around and found people with the same problem but I couldn't really understand what they were all saying (Jailbreak the phone again, download this and that, etc.)
Also, how do u know what "firmware" your phone is running? Or is this related to the Installer app? Because I know my phone is currently on the 1.1.3 software system, but what is "1.1.1" that people talk about? IS that the newer version of installer? And if so, how can I check/make sure I've got the newest one?
Any comments/help is much appreciated.
Chris
Hey all,
Just solved my own problem by re-jailbreaking it.
Thanks anyway!
Chris
EDIT: NEW PROBLEM
So I got Installer back on my home page, but now there's a problem. The actual installer application doesn't have any of my 3rd party software listed under "updates" or "uninstall," meaning that it doesn't recognize the two pages worth of tweaks and software I've downloaded. This is a problem since I'd like to be able to know what tweaks are on my system, uninstall them, etc.
Am I outta luck? Or is there something I can do?
Chris
