When do you think the 27" iMac will be updated?

I am thinking of buying a new 27" iMac and was wondering if they have recently been updated or are due for an update soon.

I have been searching for a while but I can not find any clear answer.
Also I seem to remember a rumour of a HD-iMac? What is the latest on this?

Apple generally does "silent" upgrades around the 6 month interval and then does formal upgrade announcements at the Apple event in February.

What do you mean by "HD iMac"? Yes, we're waiting for a likely hardware refresh in the U.S. I was going to upgrade my 21.5" to a 27", too, but now I guess I'll wait.
