Hi guys i am new to the Mac . well i just bought the 21.5 imac today . i got home i am thinking that's it's little small for me . I wanted to go back to apple store tomorrow and exchange for the 27" one ,but i've found a threat about Imac27" having some issues . I was wondering if it's safe to buy it now since i don't like to go back to apple store if it's gonna be problem . also how much different in performance of I5 core 2.66 Ghz vs the 3.06Ghz? if it's alot different i am gonna go with i5

I just got a new 27in i5 2 weeks ago. The screen issue is still there among other issues but the number of problem-free iMacs are greater than the problem ones. You will not read about the perfect ones because why would a user post something about a decent one just cause. I say go for it. After you purchase it you can ask the genius to open it to check for problems before you leave, you have to buy it first. I was worried too but said forget it and got one. Mine is perfectly fine. At first the 27in screen is a lot to take in but it is beautiful.

The i5 is quad core so you will have a more of future proof over the 3.06 dual core.

And welcome to the Mac world.
