2.2 jailbreak and installer
Ok I have an iphone 3g running 2.1 firmware and is jailbroken. If and when I upgrade to 2.2 firwmare and jailbreak that do I need to install INSTALLER? The reason I am asking this is because when I jailbroke my 2.1 firmware and installed INSTALLER I never used it. I tried downloading a few apps (pool, kate etc.) and neither worked at all. Kate screwed up my phone and had to uninstall it to get back to normal. It seems like Cydia has everything and is the way to go these days so what is everyone's take on INSTALLER now. I thought about not installing INSTALLER and just doing Cydia but will that make a difference or are they two separate applications and do not need each other to run? Thanks.

yeah I didn't even bother installing INSTALLER with the 2.2 jailbreak. I never did experience INSTALLER considering my first jailbreak was on 2.1 about 2 months ago. From what I could tell INSTALLER was very weak and nothing worked or either messed up your phone in some way. Cydia is a very USER FRIENDLY application site and has tons of cool apps, keep up the good work who ever is contributing to these apps.
