Thanks!
This is not a vs. we are just telling people NOT to use ZiPhone and why, and with good reason as it is still widely used.
Yes during the unlock it automatically does.
Those were, i remember cd / phonedmg ./jailbreak and had to put it in restore mode and pray it worked!Last edited by DoerrFan; 05-25-2008 at 04:55 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

@Doerr,well,if you are a legit AT&T user, you just use Ziphone for jailbreak....
Otherwise,it will be good for COMPLETE noobs,I think.
P.S-Thats my personal oppinion,I dont like how zibri behaves on forums,Im talking just about the program.

Yes i am, but the problem is that the jailbreak is very dangerous still, and as dale1v said it crashes through foundations of the phone during the jailbreak, and the phone could crash in days, weeks, or months. For complete noobs i suggest researching a bit before you dive right in, in order to save you $400. And yes i also don't like Zibri much at all, talks down to people like hes better then them.

Well surprisingly it is still used, and thats the goal of this thread to alert people of its problems so they can use iLiberty/Pwnage.

IMO, ZiPhone is now in the past. When 2.0 comes out, WinPwn and Pwnage will be in full swing and when I pickup the next iPhone, I hope I can pwn it to have the best of both worlds with App Store and Installer!

I've used Ziphone in the past & the problems I had were with YouTube. Other then that it was an easy solution. I now use iDemcracy3 & been happy with it. I should be using PWN but don't have the patience to learn it.

Months or even years? I assume you did some serious research on this??
Anyway, I've used ziphone many times, never had a wifi problem.
"ZiPhones 1-Pass method stuffs everything into the ramdisk, this can lead to memory corruption, like grayed out Wi-Fi or bluetooth." - - As far as I'm aware this method is 99.9% safe, and some of the 'official' devs have admitted soTo live, you have to lie

How about iPlus2.0? I unlocked mine using iPhone2.0 which uses a 3.9FB and (I think) involves a 2-phase unlocking using payloads.
Is that as good as using iLiberty?
