I'm going to do it again just for the hell of it and see how long it actually takes on a 4S.

Took about 5 minutes total to jailbreak and get Cydia all loaded up.

Is anyone else's Cydia app crashing when you try to open it? Is it alright if I re-jailbreak it now while it's jailbroke already?

It worked perfectly. If you have issues, redo the jailbreak. Worked for me.

Doesn't work. Ran jailbreak, installed the Absinthe icon, click it, either has an error or just loads a website and does nothing. Tried the VPN, froze, automatically rebooted and nothing changed at all. Same icon that does the same thing, now VPN just has an error every time and does not reboot. Re-running Absinthe from my Mac says it detected an attempted jailbreak that it was repairing but changed nothing. Closed Absinthe on my Mac, reopened it and reran, went through "jailbreak" procedure again, pressed Absinthe, nothing again, redid VPN and is rebooted and worked.
So if you didn't wanna read that, follow this:
1. Doesn't work, close Absinthe on your Mac, reopen it, and try it all again til it does.
2. Enjoy
3. ???
4. Profit

Had same issue, figured it out
I had the same issue and realized what I did wrong. I backed up and wiped, but then I did not go through the initial steps on the phone to restore it (without a backup). Go through the first few pages apple has on there until it gets to the home screen. Then close and reopen absinthe. Click jailbreak and it will reload your jailbreak. Then close and open it again and this time it will work in less than a minute.

Make sure you guys take your passcode off. Or have it unlocked the whole time during the jailbreak.
I have a required passcode and it failed because of that... I still am waiting for the beginning jailbreak, this may take a while part though.. grr
